Q: What IS a boudoir portrait session? 

Boudoir is subjective of course but for us it is simply, Women's portraiture.  It is a celebration of yourself, your body, where you are right now and how far you have come. Typically boudoir portraits are given as a gift to a significant other but we have found that many women choose to do this a special, pampering experience for themselves.

 

Q: I am a real woman with real flaws, can you make me look good?

Absolutely! I have studied woman's portraiture and honestly most of the things you are worried about are taken care of in lighting and posing.  I am 100% confident I can make ANY woman look and feel amazing no matter her age, size or shape!

Q: How long have you been photographing boudoir? 

 I started my business 10 years ago and decided to specialize in women's portraiture 8 years ago.  I was the first to offer boudoir portraits in the Tri cities area and it quickly became what our studio is known for.   

 

Q: Should I lose weight before I schedule I session? 

NO! This type of session is about celebrating who you are right NOW. Most ladies think that they have to get confident in order to do the session  it is actually quite the opposite.

Q: Do you have outfits? What should I wear?

We will discuss your choice of outfits at your consultation.  What you wear is completely up to you and how you want to look and feel during your session.  Lingerie is NOT a requirement, however most women find that stepping out of their comfort zone is very freeing. 

We do have a collection of gowns, clothes and wraps to use but we do not share lingerie, because, well, thats gross.  

If you do choose to wear lingerie you can bring your own or shop in our in studio lingerie boutique!! Philocaly Lingerie boutique features a carefully curated selection of french inspired lingerie and you will have the opportunity to shop privately in the store during your consultation.

Q: Do you provide hair and makeup?

We do and we work with the best in the business!! Our makeup artists are the best in the business with 20+ years of experience and will make you look perfect for your shoot! Hair & Makeup is included in every session. 

 

Q: Where does the session take place?

A: Typically sessions take place in my studio located in Kennewick,WA. It is a beautiful private studio with everything you need to feel fabulous! We only do one session at a time so during your time with us all 1110 sq feet is dedicated to making your experience amazing!  

 

Q: How do I schedule?

The first step is to schedule a consultation so you can meet us, see the studio and touch and feel our amazing art options. There is no charge for the consult it is purely for you to meet me and get answers to all your questions. Typically I will invite you to the studio but if you are out of town then your consultation can be done over the phone or video chat. 

 

Q: Will my images end up on the internet?

Your privacy is extremely important to us. Your session is as private as you would like it to be from start to finish and images are NEVER used without your permission.

Q: How much should I plan to invest in a session?

All of our sessions include a pre-session consultation, professional hair and makeup, styling and a private ordering appointment. Sessions begin at $425. Financing options are available for your convenience.

Q: How far in advance should I book?

Your consultation can be done anytime before your session.  We are typically booked out 1-2 months in advance.
